Our Podcast

At Quench Arts we like to share our learning, impact, successes and challenges. We do this regularly via our social media content, including through our resource page on Facebook and through our YouTube and SoundCloud sites. Below you can read some of the blogs we've published about our work. Across 2026 we've also been recording a Podcast series about our work, with a plan to launch a series of 8 episodes per year. You can listen to the episodes released in series 1 so far below (with new episodes coming each week!)

Series 1, Episode 1: In this episode, Quench Arts Directors Liz Viggers and Nic Briggs introduce listeners to Quench Arts' work. Alongside 4 members of our wellbeing team (Katie Stevens, Paul Carroll, James Stanley and Holly Kehoe-Kingsley) we chat about and explain what community music is and why it's so important!

Series 1, Episode 2: In this podcast episode, Directors Liz Viggers and Nic Briggs continue the chat with 4 members of Quench Arts' wellbeing team (Katie Stevens, Paul Carroll, James Stanley and Holly Kehoe-Kingsley). Each music leader gives some examples of the positive impact on participants from taking part in our community music programmes.

Series 1, Episode 3: In this episode, Quench Arts Directors Liz Viggers and Nic Briggs share the Theory Of Change that the organisation has developed. This helps us to articulate the outcomes we seek to achieve through our creative and wellbeing programmes. This is Part 1 of a 2 part episode.

Series 1, Episode 4: In this episode, Quench Arts Directors Liz Viggers and Nic Briggs continue to explain the Theory Of Change that the organisation has developed for their creative music and wellbeing work. Please listen to podcast episode 3 for part 1.

Series 1, Episode 5: In this podcast episode, Quench Arts Co-Director Nic Briggs chats to music leader Ann Jones and Occupational Therapist Sarah Duggan (from Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust's West Perinatal Team) to discuss Quench Arts' Music For Me programme. This is a music and wellbeing programme for mothers experiencing perinatal depression.

Our Blogs

Below you can read some of the blogs written by our team about our work and impact. Please note that all the blogs related to our youth work used to be hosted on the Youth Music Network page but this was taken offline in February 2025. Please bear with us as we gradually upload our back catalogue of content here as this is quite a big job!

If you are looking for our Wavelength project 'on demand' seminar content, reflecting our our youth music and mental health work, this is available here. Our Plugin project resources are also available here.
