Support Our Work

Quench Arts is a not for profit organisation based in Birmingham in the UK. The majority of our creative music making opportunities are offered free of charge to participants for the wellbeing and social impact they bring. Though we are lucky enough to have been successful with some grants to support our activities, this funding is generally time specific, doesn’t cover the full cost of delivering our programmes and also has earned or match income targets associated with it.

Because our work benefits people who are often some of the most marginalised and disadvantaged in our community, we are limited in how much ‘earned income’ we can obtain to support our work, especially as we focus on longer term support and provision, rather than higher profile, one-off opportunities. However, we really believe in what we do and in the benefits of creative music making to help people to express their feelings and emotions through their original music, to build transferable skills, social connections and self-esteem and to support their resilience. We share more about our impact on our project pages, for example our Wavelength project impact can be seen here, our Plugin impact reports here, and Musical Connections here.
