Work/Job Opportunities
In this section we advertise the vacancies that we have available. We appreciate that our adverts and briefs can be quite text heavy as we think it's important for people to know what they would be committing to if they are successful. We also like to be transparent with how we assess applications. However, we totally appreciate that this way of sharing information doesn't work for everyone. If you'd like to chat through any of the current roles below then please give us a call on 07716 362478 or email info@quench-arts.co.uk. Please make your request plenty of time before the role deadline so that we can find a mutually convenient diary slot.
We currently have the following opportunity:
1 x Freelance Youth LGBTQIA+ Focus Group Facilitator (with an arts/craft specialism)
*Applicants must be between the ages of 18-25 for the duration of the role (up until October 2026). Due to the protected characteristics of the group and the desired programme outcomes, we particularly encourage applications from the LGBTQIA+ community with the lived experience, skills and knowledge needed.
Quench Arts is seeking to appoint 1 freelance facilitator, aged 18-25, for our Youth LGBTQIA+ focus group. The facilitator will work alongside our previously recruited facilitator and with local LGBTQIA+ young people under the age of 25 to support the co-production, steering and evaluation of a new cross arts programme that will run across 2025-26 of our National Lottery Community Fund grant. We are looking for a facilitator who has a strong interest in the arts and a specialism in a relevant artform (our current facilitator has specialisms in music and drama so our ideal candidate will cover other types of artforms, such as visual art/crafts).

Application deadline: 5pm, Tuesday 17th June 2025
Interviews: Monday 23rd June 2025
Is It Worth Me Applying?
One of the questions we are often asked is, "Is it worth me applying?" Our response to this would always be 'yes' if you think you meet most of the criteria we are asking for. Of course, we can never guarantee that this will mean that you will be successful in being offered the role, as this always depends on who else applies. Even if you are unsuccessful, we will have met you, will know more about your interests and strengths and can potentially signpost you to other opportunities we become aware of.
As part of our pledge in principal to the More Than A Moment initiative, we will interview all those who meet our equity, diversity and inclusion aims as identified in our adverts/briefs. This does not mean that people meeting this criteria will be given preference for the role but they will be offered an interview should their application be fully completed to an acceptable standard. We are keen for our workforce to be reflective of the communities we engage and particularly encourage applications from Black and Asian applicants and from those with lived experience relevant to our programmes.
We always give feedback to people who have taken the time to apply to us, whether that be with feedback on an application or on an interview/audition. We hope that this will help you for future opportunities and feel that it's the least we can do after the effort you've put in!
General Enquiries
If you have a general enquiry about working for Quench Arts in the future then please get in contact to introduce yourself and your work. Please note that the majority of our staff are employed on a freelance, fixed term basis, attached to specific programmes of work. Therefore, we are unlikely to have any immediate openings when you do get in touch. However, we are always interested to hear from you and can keep you in mind for future project opportunities. We always do our best to support the development of those we work with and many of our staff have progressed through our trainee roles/training opportunities to lead facilitator roles for Quench Arts and other local organisations.
